Short-Term Respite (also known as Short-Term Accommodation or STA) gives participants and their families temporary support, comfort and practical help when they need it most. Whether it’s for planned breaks or unexpected changes at home, STA offers a safe and uplifting environment where participants can recharge and enjoy meaningful activities.
What Is Short-Term Respite?
Short-Term Respite provides temporary stays in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants can enjoy personalised care, fun activities and time away from their usual routine—while families receive essential rest and support.
Who Can Access This Service?
Short-Term Respite is available only to NDIS participants who already have STA or Respite funding approved in their NDIS plans. If you’re unsure whether this is included, the Support Coordination team can help review your funding.
